Primary Overview

Jason Silvestri currently creating custom 2024 Web API Demos, which include a custom, common theme across all versions, custom Web APIs, and the implementations of the custom Web APIs using the latest Web & Mobile development technologies available, such as Asp.NET Blazor, AngularJS, ReactJS & KnockoutJS, all available to potential prospects and/or employers alike for download via GitHub, all available for examination by said prospects and/or employers, all part of yet another investment Jason is putting into his brand that makes selection that much easier, to show yet another glimpse, into the cross-tier & cross-platform development capabilities Jason has across the board.

As a Solution Architect, Lead Sr. Web Software Engineer & Full-Stack Developer, most people in my position, of whom, have worked with some of the latest technologies in the World, creating web and mobile applications for some of the best Startups & Fortune 500 in the World, do not get here by picking a single trade to put all my focus into, or by sort of, kind of, liking to write code. I got here because I absolutely love to create things, especially using the latest web & mobile development technologies.

More importantly, however, I absolutely love working across project design tiers, putting true, professional-to-expert level skills to the design, client-side, server-side, and database-side development tiers of enterprise solutions, and if I can work with likeminded developers to create something truly innovative, I can honestly tell you I wouldn’t want to do anything else, in any other industry sector on the planet. I am dead serious…

At the same time, loving web and mobile software development wasn’t always so. Even 5-10 years into web software engineering, I really didn’t enjoy myself and I felt trapped.

The first few years into the game? Sure, but really, that window between 5-10 years had me thinking I was only doing it all for the money, lots of times not asking for enough money as it was, and almost always doing well over my workload to do what it takes for the team to succeed. It wasn’t until I started really developing enterprise solutions, being utilized to my fullest potential by elite employers in their space, being leveraged efficiently, across all tiers, and working with some of the best developers I have ever worked with at any other time in my career, that I realized all that is true, and I should be grateful I am leveraged in all the ways possible by a clients and/or employers.

Still, even now, enjoying the thrill-of-the-hunt more than ever, there are some small downsides to the type of work I do, and for the companies of whom I implement my services. For example, a lot of work I do is often classified with security clearances that can not be talked about. You can bet that even if I could discuss certain responsibilities of a given project with a relaxed security classification, I am almost always bound by some form of sensitive, strict, one-way NDA that would prevent me from talking about anything, anyway.

Sure, there are some projects I can go back in history to discuss, and sure, there are a variety of ways in which I could prove my worth or showcase forms of my portfolio. For example, my new, BETA v 2023 personal web & mobile web applications design for smart phones, tablets and desktop computers being a proof-of-work all-by-itself. I wanted to do something more for the common potential client prospects and/or potential employers that are considering my services, can get more out of me to decide faster. That is where the idea of creating custom 2024 Web API Demos using the latest in web and mobile application development technologies, such as Blazor, AngularJS, ReactJS & KnockoutJS came into mind. I wanted to be able to produce an enterprise level downloadable demo series of Web APIs (scaled to demo) that would include, but not be limited to, a custom theme, custom Web API and to use these latest and greatest technologies to truly showcase the cross-tier & cross-platform development capabilities I would love to bring to the table.

Downloading the 2024 Web API Demos

Awh, Nice! So, you are interested in downloading the 2024 Web API Demos, currently being developed in Blazor, AngularJS, KnockoutJS and/or ReactJS? That is fantastic, and soon you will be able to do just that!

Even though this effort is brand new, started only recently, and the hunt for that next contract or perm role must be priority, the development of these Web API Demos have no less value, for I am putting the same love and care I would with any client development. Moreover, the development of these apps have been smooth, extremely cool, but also, one of the more fun product suites I have had the pleasure of working on as of late. If anything, though, it just speaks to how much I love to develop applications. I am willing to make the process of selection that much easier for staffing firms, recruiters, talent acquisition specialists, of course, potential employers, because that is just who I am by nature. I put the same effort into developing products my clients and employers can be proud of delivering to their clients and consumers.

Once the apps are available for download, a press release will go out, and anyone, and everyone, will be able to download any(or all) Web API Demos available, by visiting our Web API Demos Products page!

Until then, please feel free to read the rest of this article to learn more about the technologies being used, the features included, and much more!

The Custom 2024 Web API Demos Features

This section of the article is being updated with all the features currently being developed for each version of Web API implementation. An update is coming soon, so please stand by. Conversely, each technology used will have a series of features that will showcase a piece of each major tier (respectfully). The bare minimum feature set for each application is as follows:

The Asp.NET Core Blazor, AngularJS, ReactJS & KnockoutJS applications will have at least the following feature set:

  • jSilvestri.com Themed is essentially a look and feel theme that resembles the current look amd feel of my brand new BETA v 2023 web & mobile application, but the technology implementation clearly different.
  • A Client-Side series of services and features that represent a lot of the work done on the client side tier of the app(i.e., HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and of course, the client-side operations of this particular technology implementation.)
  • A Server-Side series of services and features that represent a lot of the work done on the server side tier of the app(i.e., Asp.NET Core models, validators, server side API calls, and of course, the server-side operations of this particular technology implementation.)
  • A Weather API series of services. In addition to custom Web API end points used to authenticate and/or perform core application functionality, I think I will also have calls to a weather API or something like that to show deversity across technology implementation.I am still thinking about doing this or not. It depends.
  • A User Authentication process, using Asp.NET Core Identity or maybe even a Single Sign On that will allow cross platform authentication, across all technology implementations.Again, another potential extra effort feature if there is time.
  • A Parallax Support packaging of themed assets; if you go to my home page, about me, etc., and do you common scrolling, you will notice dynamic layer of innovation in the background of pages, that may have appear, certain services and/or graphic imagery induce a Parallax look and feel to the scrolling behavior. This support will be provided no matter the technology implementation.
  • A Mobile Friendly, responsive design for each implementation of the Web APIs, which is the redundant coding of the application that makes each application accessible via most smart phones, tablets and desktop computers.
  • A GitHub repo (repository) will be created, maintained, and be available for each technology implementation (i.e., the Blazor, AngularJS, ReactJS & KnockoutJS versions for the application demos and all their source code will be available for FREE download.)

In Closing

There is actually more I want to add to this story and I will. The focus is ensuring all features that will be available in each version of the application(s) are hashed out.
